Google offers internal resources for third party vendors to learn more about its products and services. Social comms is a blog-like platform providing all types of e-learning, from  articles and videos to comparison sheets and quizzes. Rewarding users with badges and certificates of completion.
During my time with the Social Comms team, I worked with the article part of the platform in a span of 6 months. Our main goal was to make learning easier to digest and bring in a sense of ownership, by making articles visually pleasing, giving them a better content layout for easier readability, as well as bringing in a sense of playfulness through our illustrations.
Approach
During my time with Social Comms, I worked with the article part of the platform. On a weekly basis, my team of designers and copywriters would be given content guidelines and important key points to highlight. With that, we approached the tasks through visual and written content. The copywriters would push the content forward, giving it a story-line and purpose, while designers would help visualize that content.
Outcome
Following a strict color and design system library, I help create weekly illustrations visualizing the different topics being highlighted that week. Over time, I was part of over 100 types of design content used for this platform.
